West Nile detected in Hudson Valley bugs as infections rise nationwide (timesunion.com) — West Nile virus has been detected in mosquitoes across downstate New York, and health officials confirm one of this year's human cases is in Syracuse. New York's 224th Air Defense Group Participate in Civil Air Patrol Encampment (af.mil) — At Hancock Field in Syracuse, members of the New York Air National Guard's 224th Air Defense Group recently gave more than 190 Civil Air Patrol cadets a close look at aerospace, cyber, and security careers.
