• Route 9 redesign would add four roundabouts in Sleepy Hollow (fingerlakes1.com) — Drivers, walkers, and bus riders in Tarrytown face big changes as New York advances a $50 million redesign of Route 9, adding roundabouts, safer crossings, and a separated shared-use path through Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. With federal and state funding secured, final design will focus first on the northern section here before construction begins in 2028, aiming to cut congestion and improve safety near homes and schools.

Everclear, The Smithereens with Marshall Crenshaw, Fastball, Sophie B. Hawkins, and regional acts will fill Kingsland Point Park with music, food trucks, beer gardens, kids' activities, and Halloween-themed fun, with tickets on sale now.
