• State provides cybersecurity grants to municipalities (midhudsonnews.com) — The Town of Tuxedo will receive a state grant for a cybersecurity assessment of its wastewater district, aimed at protecting critical local infrastructure from cyber threats. Governor Hochul’s SECURE program is funding similar water and wastewater security projects across the Hudson Valley. This assessment should help Tuxedo strengthen defenses and keep essential services running safely. 
• Orange County hosts Firefighter 1 Graduation (thephoto-news.com subscription) — Several volunteers from the Tuxedo Fire Department have just completed Orange County’s intensive Firefighter 1 training, joining 31 new interior firefighters from across the county. The course required 129 classroom hours plus hands-on drills at the New Hampton training center. County officials praised the graduates’ commitment and encouraged other residents to consider volunteering as firefighters.
