Club Pilates To Open 3rd Upper East Side Studio This Spring
The franchise offers low-impact, reformer-based workouts rooted in the Joseph Pilates method.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Club Pilates is expanding its footprint on the Upper East Side with a third neighborhood studio set to open on April 15, the studio's managers told Patch.
The new location will occupy part of the ground floor of a newly built condo at East 78th Street and First Avenue, joining the two other existing Club Pilates studios on the Upper East Side at East 89th Street and East 62nd Street.
Unlike the brand’s more standard layouts in the neighborhood, the newest studio will feature three reformer rooms — including a room with 12 reformers, a room with six reformers designed for smaller, more advanced classes, and a room for private sessions, Catherine O'Connor, Club Pilates' client experience manager, said.

O'Connor said the expansion reflects the sustained demand in the neighborhood, where Club Pilates has built a loyal following since opening its first Upper East Side studio nearly seven years ago.
"We really just try to be like a home away from home," Catherine O'Connor, Club Pilates' client experience manager, said. "There's so many friendships that have been started because of club Pilates."

According to Nadia Horen, the Club Pilates regional manager on the Upper East Side, the youngest customer they have on the Upper East Side is 14 years old and the oldest is 93 years old.
The franchise offers low-impact, reformer-based Pilates rooted in the Joseph Pilates method, with some contemporary additions like music, TRX and cardio-focused classes.
Instructors complete extensive training, and classes range from slower, stretch-focused sessions to higher-intensity formats.
Even though there are two other Club Pilates studios, there is still a demand for a third studio, Horen said.
"We definitely have waitlists — it's very popular. We have close to 90 classes per week already," Horen said.
Now, Club Pilates is offering a membership that lets students take classes at all three Upper East Side locations, O'Connor said. Drop in classes for the studio start at $45. More information about class options and memberships is available directly through the studio's website.
The new studio will be located at 1487 First Ave.
