Schools Will Be In Session Tuesday, City Says
Prepare for in-person instruction on Tuesday, the mayor said.

NEW YORK CITY ā Mayor Zohran Mamdani said at a press conference Monday that schools will be fully in session for in-person instruction on Tuesday, following a blizzard in New York City that dumped more than two feet of snow in parts of the city.
"I do have some tough news to share," Mamdani said. "School will be in person tomorrow. You can still pelt me with snowballs when you see me."
The blizzard, which will continue to drop up to 2.3 more inches of snow through Monday evening, has reduced visibility across the city to just a quarter of a mile in some places, with wind gusts blowing between 40 and 50 miles per hour on Monday.

However, by Monday evening, the storm will be out of the area, but harsh, windy conditions will still persist, as well as ice on the roads and sidewalks, despite frequent plowing.
