WEST VILLAGE, NY — Floradora, a new restaurant and bar, is set to open in the West Village this week.

The restaurant will open at 205 Thompson Street on Thursday, August 27.

It's the latest concept from Cody Pruitt and Jacob Cohen — the team behind Libertine, Chateau Royale, and Capitaine.

Led by Executive Chef Vanessa Velez, dishes range from Scallop Crudo and Lobster & Jalapeño Fritters to Spicy Vodka Garganelli with Korean gochujang, Oxtail Lasagna, Veal Milanese, and a 72-hour slow-cooked American Wagyu “Steak” Au Poivre. The lineup also includes an American Wagyu Cheeseburger, French Dip, Tuna Melt Sando, and three styles of fries, including the cheese-covered “Disco” fries.

The beverage program, developed by Pruitt, takes a playful turn inspired by colorful disco-era and 1980s cocktails. Highlights include the Giardiniera Gibson, Lychee Vesper, June Bug, and namesake Floradora, made with gin, raspberry, ginger, cardamom, and soda water. Classic dry gin and dirty vodka martinis are offered in both mini and full-size pours. An approachable Old World wine list features bottles and glasses from France, Italy, Germany, and beyond, with by-the-glass selections priced at $20 or less.

The redesigned two-floor interior pairs warm wood paneling with Tiffany-style lighting, vintage photography, and rich lacquered finishes. More than 50 portraits of artists, musicians, writers, and other cultural figures selected by Pruitt line the walls, alongside vintage film posters and art exhibition posters and lithographs.

Floradora is open for dinner and late-night service seven days a week, with extended hours Thursday through Saturday until 2 a.m. A late-night food menu is available on those nights, and weekend brunch is expected to launch shortly. Reservations are available through Resy.
