• Pedestrian struck and seriously injured on Sunrise Highway in West Babylon (greaterlongisland.com) — A man struck by a car while walking on Sunrise Highway in West Babylon was rushed to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip with serious injuries, and police are still investigating. The Kia driver from East Islip was not hurt, and the vehicle has been impounded for a safety check as detectives ask witnesses to come forward.
