• Turtle Dies After Being Found Tethered Underwater In Deer Park; $3K Reward Offered (patch.com) — A turtle found cruelly tethered underwater in Deer Park was brought to West Islip Veterinary Hospital but has since died, prompting a larger reward for tips. Suffolk County SPCA has raised the reward to $3,000 and is urging anyone who saw suspicious activity near Geiger Park Lake to report it confidentially.
