• Guiding Eyes puppies take their first flight today (midhudsonnews.com) — This afternoon at Westchester County Airport in White Plains, a special charter flight will carry Guiding Eyes for the Blind puppies to meet volunteer "puppy raisers" nationwide. These volunteers spend more than a year socializing and training the dogs before they return to Guiding Eyes campuses in Patterson and Yorktown for formal guide-dog training, expanding opportunities for people with vision loss.

• All Class Reunion (pace.edu) — An all-class alumni reunion for the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is set for October 24 at Kanopi atop The Opus, Westchester in downtown White Plains. Graduates, especially from class years ending in 6 and 1, are invited to celebrate the school's 50th anniversary and 10 years under its current name while enjoying food and sweeping views from the Hudson to Manhattan.

• Man charged in domestic incident in Somers (newportdispatch.com) — White Plains police alerted state troopers to a serious domestic incident that began near the Muscoot Reservoir and led to multiple felony and misdemeanor charges against an Ossining man. Investigators say he forced a former partner into his vehicle, drove to a secluded area, assaulted and choked the victim, who eventually escaped and sought help. The suspect faces Somers Town Court again on August 24.
