Craft Breweries And Trampoline Parks: Yorktown Rezones Jefferson Valley Mall With A New Vision In Mind (patch.com) — Yorktown’s Town Board has approved new zoning for Jefferson Valley Mall, allowing craft breweries, amusement centers, trampoline parks, and other indoor recreation businesses to move in. The change is meant to revive vacant retail space, attract experience-focused tenants, and boost economic activity along the Jefferson Valley shopping corridor for local residents and families. 
2. State provides cybersecurity grants to municipalities (midhudsonnews.com) — Yorktown is set to receive a $36,400 state grant to strengthen cybersecurity at the Yorktown Heights wastewater treatment plant, helping protect local water infrastructure from cyber threats. The funding comes through New York’s SECURE program, which is investing in similar upgrades across the Hudson Valley to safeguard essential water and wastewater services for residents.
3. Federal prison term for Yorktown man who sold fatal dose of fentanyl (lohud.com) — A man who sold fentanyl in and around Yorktown has been sentenced to just over 24 years in federal prison after a dose led to the death of Yorktown resident Brian Cobb. The case, built in part by a Yorktown detective on a DEA task force, highlights the ongoing local impact of the fentanyl crisis and the grief Cobb’s family and friends continue to carry.
4. Duo Steal Over $2.6K In Items From Lowe's In Yorktown Over Months: Police (dailyvoice.com) — Two Yorktown residents are accused of repeatedly stealing merchandise totaling about $2,678 from the Lowe’s on Crompond Road in Yorktown Heights between April and July. Police say the pair were arrested after an investigation with store security and are due in Yorktown Justice Court later this month, a reminder of ongoing retail theft issues at a major local retailer.
