• Hendersonville agrees 'in concept' to accept, process Etowah sewage (blueridgenow.com) — Etowah’s aging wastewater treatment plant is in such bad shape that Hendersonville has tentatively agreed to take the community’s sewage and treat it in the city system, if details can be worked out. County leaders are weighing five costly options, from tying into Hendersonville or Buncombe County to rebuilding a plant in Etowah, with a decision expected soon because of the plant’s dire condition.
