• Family says they buried the wrong person after shocking funeral home error (wjla.com) — A grieving family says a serious mix-up at S&L Funeral Home in Fair Bluff led to the wrong body being buried and their loved one briefly placed in another person’s casket. Staff later exhumed the body and corrected the burials, but relatives say Fair Bluff’s funeral home has not apologized and that their family member never received the service they planned. 
• Family Claims Wrong Body Was Buried After Funeral Home Allegedly Mixed Up Caskets (people.com) — Relatives of a Cerro Gordo woman say S&L Funeral Home in Fair Bluff accidentally swapped her body with that of a Chadbourn resident, leading each to be placed in the other’s casket. The funeral home, which serves Fair Bluff families, reportedly exhumed and corrected the burials, calling it an honest mistake while the family questions how it happened.
