• Three charged in copper wire theft at solar farm (yourdailyjournal.com) — Local law enforcement has charged two Hamlet residents and another Richmond County woman in connection with significant copper wire theft and damage at a nearby solar farm, with losses estimated around $30,000. Investigators say the alleged crimes occurred on multiple dates in late March and early April, and they expect more arrests as the countywide probe into similar solar farm incidents continues.
