Moore announces more than $63M in FEMA funds for Helene recovery (wlos.com) — Lake Lure residents should know that Rutherford County is set to receive $43.8 million in FEMA funding to help clear debris and support recovery from Hurricane Helene’s heavy damage in communities like Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Congressman Tim Moore announced more than $63.2 million total for Western North Carolina counties, aimed at easing cleanup costs and repairing critical local infrastructure.
