• Lake Lure officials propose April 20 'soft opening' with safety restrictions (tryondailybulletin.com) — Lake Lure leaders are aiming for an April 20 “soft opening” of the lake, with limited boat access, closed town ramps, and no towing activities while safety checks continue. Non-motorized boating, fishing, and swimming would be allowed at residents’ own risk as crews verify buoy placement, clear debris, and coordinate with law enforcement before broader public access resumes.
