• Update for City of Hickory water customers (taylorsvilletimes.com) — Maiden residents on the City of Hickory water system are under Stage 2 drought restrictions, limiting lawn irrigation to two days a week and banning home car washing and pool filling. These rules, enforced with escalating fines, apply across Hickory’s service area, including Maiden, and will stay in place until regional reservoir and drought conditions improve.
