• Plans approved for new hospital in Union County: What to know (wbtv.com) — A new Novant Health hospital is planned for Weddington Road between Monroe and Wesley Chapel, bringing 32 inpatient beds and expanded acute and outpatient services to Union County by 2030. The facility, across from St. John’s Forest and Weddington Pointe, aims to give Monroe‑area residents closer access to care as the region rapidly grows.
