• Commissioners approve National Library Week in Moore County (sandhillssentinel.com) — Pinebluff families are highlighted as regular users of Moore County’s library system, which commissioners have officially recognized for National Library Week starting April 19. The proclamation praises libraries’ role in education, technology access, and community connection, and encourages residents to visit branches, including Pinebluff, to explore resources and thank staff. Commissioners also marked April as Child Abuse Prevention Month and set Lineman Appreciation Day.
   

• Seven facing charges after Moore County probation search operation (sandhillssentinel.com) — Two Pinebluff residents are among seven people charged after a countywide probation search operation that turned up several types of suspected illegal drugs and a firearm. The sheriff’s office says the coordinated effort with Probation and Parole targeted multiple Moore County residences, resulting in felony and misdemeanor charges. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
