• Video shows sparks flying before car hit Pineville's library, killing NC driver (newsobserver.com) — A speeding car crashed into the government complex housing Pineville’s Town Hall and Mecklenburg County library branch on Main Street Monday night, killing the 22-year-old driver from Charlotte. Police say the Honda was traveling well above the 20 mph limit through downtown before losing control, and no one else inside or outside the vehicle was hurt.
