• The city of Jacksonville wants to nearly quadruple its size, annexing much of Camp Lejeune (wunc.org) — Jacksonville’s push to annex large parts of Camp Lejeune has nearby towns worried about future growth and planning power, and Richlands is cited as a past example of how such boundary issues can be negotiated. Local lawmakers are pressing for more talks among Jacksonville, Holly Ridge, and other Onslow communities before the bill advances further in Raleigh.
