• Lawndale man charged in connection with fatal shooting (shelbystar.com) — Cleveland County deputies have charged an 18‑year‑old Lawndale resident with murder after a man was found fatally shot in a yard on Boyles Road Tuesday afternoon. The sheriff’s office says quick investigative work led them to a Newfield Court home in Lawndale, where the suspect was arrested; the investigation remains active and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
