• Brunswick County issues Stage 1 Water Conservation Alert (newsargus.com) — St. James residents are now under a Stage 1 Water Conservation Alert as Brunswick County reports demand has exceeded 80% of system capacity. The alert asks you to voluntarily cut back, especially on lawn irrigation, to avoid stricter mandatory rules as July 4th approaches. Private wells and reclaimed water for local golf courses are not affected, but household customers should start conserving immediately.
