• Columbus County woman faces drug trafficking charges involving Suboxone (wwaytv3.com) — Whiteville residents may notice heightened law enforcement activity after a 42-year-old local woman was arrested on multiple drug trafficking and possession charges involving Suboxone, methamphetamine, and marijuana. Authorities say she was taken into custody by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office and remains free on bond, with a probable cause hearing set for Oct. 22 in Columbus County District Court.
