• Council denies Verizon conditional use permit for wireless tower site (centralnordak.com) — Beulah’s city council has rejected Verizon’s request for a conditional use permit to build a 125-foot cell tower along Highway 49 near homes and the school district, after residents raised health, safety, aesthetic, and property-value concerns. One council member argued the vote was rushed without full legal review, and the city now has 90 days to issue a written justification or the application could be automatically approved.
