• Drunk driver convicted in fatal I-480 crash (fox8.com) — An Akron woman has been convicted in Summit County for a 2023 drunk-driving crash on I-480 that killed 30-year-old Kameron Rubin. Jurors found 28-year-old Africa Watson guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide and OVI after investigators tied damage and evidence on her vehicle to the victim; she'll be sentenced October 16, with the case underscoring local enforcement against impaired driving.
   

• Women's soccer looks to win first MAC match on the road against Akron (bgfalconmedia.com) — Bowling Green's women's soccer team visits Akron on Sunday, Sept. 20, for a 1 p.m. MAC matchup against the Zips, following Akron's Senior Day ceremony.
