• West Branch says no to AAC (reviewonline.com) — Alliance City Schools and West Branch have decided not to join the All-American Conference, opting instead to keep the Eastern Buckeye Conference name while they search together for a better league fit. For Alliance families, that means at least a few more years of EBC play, continued games against AAC schools, and a newly scheduled Week 10 football rivalry matchup with West Branch in 2028.
   

• Pond search for missing Alliance man was unsuccessful, officials say (cantonrep.com) — Authorities and family are urgently asking Alliance-area residents to help find 20-year-old Nathaniel “Nate” Hang, who left his West Oxford Avenue home June 3 and hasn’t been seen since. A June 9 pond search involving Alliance police and regional dive teams found no evidence, so volunteers are invited to join a new search June 14 and nearby residents are urged to review security footage, check properties, and report any sighting of his white GMC Canyon.
