• Ashland Police Warn Residents of New Banking Scam Involving Home Visits (ashlandcountypictures.com) — Ashland Police are alerting residents to a new scam where criminals pose as bank employees, send fake texts, and may even show up at your door to collect cards and personal information. Officers stress that banks and law enforcement will never come to your home for cards or ask you to move money for an investigation. If anything feels suspicious, hang up and call your bank or Ashland Police directly. 
• Two Columbus Men Arrested After Burglary at Ashland Sporting Goods Store (cleveland19.com) — A major overnight burglary at Fin Feather Fur on U.S. 250 in Ashland led deputies to recover 27 stolen guns and a Taser and arrest two Columbus men. The suspects were stopped on I-71, with one allegedly carrying a backpack of tagged firearms, and at least one was taken to the Ashland County Jail as the sheriff’s office continues its investigation.
• Loudonville Police Assist With Two Pursuits, Crashes and Medical Emergencies During Busy Week (ashlandcountypictures.com) — Loudonville officers spent a busy July 26–Aug. 1 assisting the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office with pursuits, crashes, medical calls, and warrant arrests that often ended at the Ashland County Jail. They also helped in a Route 39 motorcycle crash, a County Road 3175 medical emergency, and even reunited a lost dog via the Ashland County Dog Shelter.
