Local volunteers, donors, and city leaders helped repurpose ramps from a Cleveland event, and residents say the busy new spot is already bringing fresh energy and excitement back to the beach.
   

• Ashtabula County defense manufacturer ITEN Defense set to more than double in size (news5cleveland.com) — A Saybrook Township defense manufacturer is more than doubling its Ashtabula County facility, bringing up to 100 new jobs and advanced body-armor technology to the area. Backed by $20 million in federal defense funding, the expansion aims to keep local graduates and returning families working in the county, with the new operation expected to be running early next year.
