1. Kenneth Bellotta, Salem, Ohio (wkbn.com) — Austintown is remembering Kenneth Bellotta, a 1979 Austintown Fitch graduate and Army National Guard veteran who later worked 25 years for AT&T. Family and friends can pay their respects at calling hours and a funeral service June 17 at Lane Family Funeral Homes’ Canfield Chapel, as his loved ones prepare to welcome the grandson he eagerly anticipated.

Library officials respond to yet another challenge on Poland site (vindy.com) — Austintown residents are being invoked in a heated debate over whether Poland’s library should be relocated, with county library officials arguing they must protect taxpayers in Austintown and other communities from subsidizing high maintenance costs. Opponents say new sewer and construction information should force the board to reconsider, while library leaders insist they’ve done due diligence and will keep studying sewer options before building.
