• Therapist charged with felony assault for spanking autistic child: Beachwood Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — Beachwood residents get a detailed look at recent police activity, including a felony assault charge against a therapist accused of spanking a non-verbal autistic child at a Commerce Park facility. The blotter also covers a $1,000 theft at Beachwood Place, a disturbance at Beachwood Middle School, and a domestic violence arrest at The Vantage apartments.
   

• Kirtland Girls Win Grey Race at Mentor Cardinal Classic (chagrinvalleyconference.com) — Beachwood runners made a strong showing at the Mentor Cardinal Classic, with senior Hailey Flowers taking fourth in the girls Grey race and the girls team finishing 13th overall. On the boys side, Beachwood placed eighth in the Grey race, led by Aaron Zheng and Asher Hardis among several Bison runners in the top half of the field.
