• Proposed Beavercreek income tax falls flat at polls (xeniagazette.com) — Beavercreek voters have rejected a proposed 1% city income tax, with about 59% voting against Issue 5, keeping Beavercreek among the few Ohio cities without an income tax. City leaders had argued the measure would stabilize funding for police, streets, and parks by replacing several property tax levies, but residents opted to maintain the current tax structure for now.
   

• Beavercreek’s Violette, Olson take fourth at State (beavercreeknewscurrent.com) — Two Beavercreek High School standouts, junior Ansley Violette and freshman Yuzu Olson, teamed up to finish fourth in the OHSAA State Girls Tennis Tournament, showcasing the strength of the local program. Their coach credits a long-running Beavercreek doubles tournament and their complementary styles for preparing them to compete with Ohio’s best, and both are set to return next season.
