A new county mobility manager will now help residents navigate existing transportation options, and locals can soon read the full plan online or call CARES for ride information.

Suspected drug lab, cocaine uncovered in Belmont County, 3 arrested (wtrf.com) — Belmont County deputies arrested three people after a June 11 search of a Flushing home uncovered suspected cocaine and several drug manufacturing setups. The sheriff credits resident tips and regional law enforcement partners, and urges anyone with information about suspected drug activity anywhere in Belmont County to continue reporting concerns to his office.

Chavez announces local projects included in Ohio funding bill (mariettatimes.com) — Belmont County is among several southeastern Ohio counties set to benefit from projects in the new state capital budget, Senate Bill 450. While this report details specific awards in neighboring Washington County, Sen. Brian Chavez says additional projects in Belmont County are also included as the $8 million district-wide package moves from the Ohio Senate to the House.
