• Kent-Brimfield JEDD doesn't want funds used for dispatch services (theportager.com) — Brimfield Township’s handling of Joint Economic Development District funds is under scrutiny after Kent-Brimfield JEDD board members objected to using maintenance and improvement money for fire and emergency dispatch services. The state auditor will now review past spending, while Brimfield leaders juggle unpaid dispatch bills, prior reimbursement orders, and a possible rule change that could let JEDD money legally cover police and fire vehicles.
