• Broadview Heights, North Royalton adopt moratoriums on data centers (cleveland.com) — Broadview Heights City Council has enacted a six‑month moratorium on new data centers and crypto‑mining facilities while it studies their impacts on infrastructure, utilities and quality of life. Officials say the pause will help them update zoning rules before any proposals arrive, mirroring similar moves in North Royalton, Cleveland and other nearby communities concerned about heavy power and water use.
   

• Speeding Chevy leads to warrants, marijuana, booze and gun: Broadview Heights Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — Broadview Heights police recently stopped a speeding Chevy Cruze on I‑77, uncovering multiple warrants, marijuana, open alcohol and a gun before arresting the occupants and issuing several citations. In a separate incident, a Cuyahoga County employee reported accidentally damaging a decorative pillar with a county vehicle on Royalton Road; no charges were filed.
   

• Ohio Arts Council grants 2027: Full list of NE Ohio recipients (cleveland.com) — Several Broadview Heights arts groups are receiving new Ohio Arts Council funding for the 2027 fiscal year, including support for the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra and India Festival USA based in the city. The awards are part of a record $23.2 million statewide package backing more than 1,000 arts organizations and programs across Northeast Ohio and beyond.
