• Fleeing Cleveland driver crashes into police cruiser: Brooklyn Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — Brooklyn police recently handled several serious incidents, including a short pursuit where a fleeing driver without headlights crashed into a police cruiser on Brookwood Drive. Officers also arrested a speeding driver on I-480, investigated a car theft at the Brookpark Road McDonald’s, and charged a man after a shoplifting incident at the Biddulph Road Giant Eagle. 
• Court hearing for former Brooklyn police sergeant accused of punching restrained woman (cleveland19.com) — A former Brooklyn police sergeant is facing a misdemeanor assault charge after a restrained woman at the station accused him of using excessive force, including punching her. He has pleaded not guilty, was fired from the department, and the woman now plans to sue both him and the Brooklyn Police Department as his final pretrial hearing approaches in May.
