Canton shooting leaves man seriously injured after gunfire strikes Maple Avenue home (wkyc.com) — A 22-year-old man was seriously wounded early Thursday when someone fired multiple rounds into a home on Maple Avenue NE in Canton, leaving the house and a vehicle riddled with bullet strikes. Police recovered shell casings, rifle rounds, and several handguns, and are continuing to investigate but have not announced any suspects or additional victims.

3. Canton police searching for female suspect in shooting that injured two (fox8.com) — Canton police are asking for the public's help locating 25-year-old Nakayla A. Smith, wanted in connection with a Tuesday night shooting on 6th Street SW that left two women with non-life-threatening leg wounds. Stark Parks' Sippo Lake Trail to get new blacktop surface (thesuburbanite.com) — A key stretch of the Sippo Lake Trail near Exploration Gateway is closed for several weeks as Stark Parks repaves about a mile of the path with new blacktop.
