Auditor Krystal Spetnagel says the estimate is slightly lower because major 2026 projects, including Yoctangee Park work and the Pepsi Building conversion, will already be funded, and residents can review details on her office website or in person.

Chillicothe Police Crime Log - June 10, 2026 (sciotovalleyguardian.com) — Chillicothe police handled 20 calls on June 10, including burglary complaints, several theft and vandalism investigations, traffic crashes, and multiple runaway juvenile reports across city neighborhoods. Most cases remain under investigation, but officers issued citations in several traffic incidents and documented activity from Cheyenne Drive and Hopeton Village to East Main Street apartments and North Bridge Street.

Council President Hoping for Decision on Chillicothe City Offices (sciotopost.com) — Chillicothe’s council president is pushing for a decision on where to house city offices, including what to do with the aging City Hall on South Paint Street. A June 22 facilities meeting, open to the public, will explore options like renovating existing buildings or possibly buying the former Gazette Building downtown.
