• Juveniles assaulted female UC students during robbery near campus, victims say (fox19.com) — Near the University of Cincinnati campus, three female UC students say a walk to get food on Short Vine turned violent when a group attacked them and stole scooters and other items. Cincinnati police quickly arrested four juveniles, who now face aggravated robbery charges, and have increased patrols and added portable lighting towers in the area to improve evening safety for students and neighbors.
   

• Jury selection begins in Rodney Hinton murder trial as attorneys scrutinize potential bias (wcpo.com) — Jury selection is underway in Cincinnati for the murder trial of Rodney Hinton Jr., accused of intentionally driving into and killing Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy Larry Henderson near the University of Cincinnati's commencement in 2025. Attorneys are closely questioning potential jurors about bias, mental illness, and views on law enforcement, as Hinton pursues a not guilty by reason of insanity defense in a case expected to last several weeks.
   

• Wilmington council approves meeting software, Wawa liquor permits (wnewsj.com) — A Wawa store on Fields Ertel Road in Cincinnati is transferring its liquor permits to a new Wawa planned for Wilmington, part of a $5 million investment expected to create local jobs there. Wilmington City Council also approved new CivicPlus meeting software to make agendas, minutes, and ordinances easier for residents to access online starting early 2027.
