• July 3 fest set to mark America250 (tribtoday.com) — Trumbull County commissioners have authorized a Cortland-based paving company to proceed with a major Golden Triangle infrastructure contract, alongside several other water and sewer improvement projects that could affect nearby communities. They also set a July 3 America250 celebration in Warren, a July 12 public hearing on Crain Drive sewer work in Niles, and moved a July 15 meeting to the county fairgrounds.
   

• Erla Mae Libertino, Niles, Ohio (wkbn.com) — Cortland readers are remembering Erla Mae Libertino, who once lived in Cortland and worshiped at First Church of God here, after she passed away Monday in Niles. Calling hours and a memorial service will be held the evening of Monday, June 29, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren, with private interment to follow.
