• Cuyahoga Falls Police Blotter: August 26, 2026 (fallsfreepress.com) — Recent Cuyahoga Falls police reports detail thefts from Howe Avenue stores, vehicle issues on neighborhood streets, and citations such as an open-container violation on Portage Trail. While no major violent crimes are highlighted, the blotter shows ongoing shoplifting, nuisance behavior, and parking concerns that may affect local shopping areas and residential blocks. All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty. 
• Summit County Sheriff's Office Gets Opioid Grant (nordoniahills.news) — Cuyahoga Falls Police Department is receiving $52,630 from Ohio's DART opioid grant program to support outreach teams that connect overdose survivors with treatment and recovery services. The Summit County Sheriff's Office and several nearby agencies also secured funding, meaning more coordinated help across the region for families dealing with addiction through June 2027.
