• Granddaughter pleads not guilty to reckless homicide, involuntary manslaughter (wjer.com) — A 27-year-old Dover woman has pleaded not guilty to reckless homicide and involuntary manslaughter charges tied to her grandfather’s 2025 death after a fall at a New Philadelphia home. She remains in the Tuscarawas County Jail on $25,000 bond as a July 13 pretrial approaches, with additional counts including drug possession and domestic violence pending. 
• Massive Barn Fire Destroys Structure at Froman Hill Boys Ranch in Dover Township (wjer.com) — Firefighters from Dover and 10 other departments battled a massive late-night blaze that destroyed a barn with workshops and livestock areas at Froman Hill Boys Ranch in Dover Township near Zoarville. No people or animals were hurt, but crews spent about six hours hauling water by tanker to the rural site as investigators continue probing what appears to be an accidental generator-related fire.
