• Eastlake councilwoman seeks removal of fellow councilwoman after misconduct allegations (cleveland.com) — Eastlake residents should know that one city council member has formally accused another of misconduct and is pushing for a process that could lead to removal from office. Council narrowly declined to immediately hire an outside attorney, meaning the proposal will get another reading before a final vote on whether to bring in special counsel to review the allegations.
   

• TinCaps smack 5 home runs to even series at Lake County (wane.com) — A big night of home runs in Eastlake saw the visiting Fort Wayne TinCaps beat the Lake County Captains 8–3 at Classic Auto Group Park, evening the series. Fans now have a chance to catch a Friday doubleheader in town, with two seven-inning games scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
