• Ohio Republicans back off effort to kill a beefy tax credit for data centers (signalohio.org) — Euclid residents’ state senator, Kent Smith, is criticizing fellow lawmakers after Ohio Republicans abruptly shelved a vote to scale back generous tax credits for data centers. The stalled bill followed revelations that these incentives cost the state and localities $2 billion in 2025, and the fight now centers on whether to reduce or completely end the exemptions for tech giants like Google, Meta, and Amazon.
