• Store owner saves woman from $22K scam (wkbn.com) — A quick-thinking owner at a Girard beverage store stopped a woman from depositing $22,000 into a Bitcoin ATM as part of a scam, preventing any loss. Police say the victim had been instructed by a caller posing as her bank to withdraw the cash and use a cryptocurrency machine after a failed attempt in Hubbard.
   

• Theodore Zagorski, Hubbard, Ohio (wkbn.com) — Family and friends in the area are mourning 55-year-old Theodore Zagorski of Hubbard, whose sister lives in Girard and who passed away Monday at Hospice House. A Hubbard High graduate and longtime roofing worker, he loved the outdoors, from kayaking to fishing, and requested no calling hours or services, with loved ones asked to remember him through time in nature.
