• Fairfield County Foundation, Lancaster Rotary Club Award Nearly $95,000 in Scholarships to Local Students (sciotopost.com) — Lancaster’s Rotary Club and the Fairfield County Foundation have awarded nearly $95,000 in scholarships to 47 local high school and college students for the 2026–27 academic year. Students from Lancaster and surrounding Fairfield County schools will receive support for careers ranging from nursing and engineering to music and the arts, reflecting a long-standing community investment in local talent. 
• Lancaster Man Dies Following Early Morning Crash in Berne Township (sciotopost.com) — A 36-year-old Lancaster man died after his car crashed and overturned early Wednesday on Horns Mill Road in nearby Berne Township, with Lancaster Fire and EMS helping at the scene. State troopers say he was not wearing a seatbelt and believe alcohol contributed, and the crash remains under investigation after he later died at an area hospital.
