Council hears concerns about conditions in South Logan, discusses water plant, sewer project (crescent-news.com) — Logan City Council heard renewed complaints about speeding, noise, and police presence in South Logan while also confirming major progress on the city’s water plant and sewer project. Council members approved several financial and equipment measures, addressed shuttle marketing to Hocking Hills, and worked to fix payment processing issues at the city pool ahead of opening.

2. Lady Chieftains track & field run away with Logan High School Open (crescent-news.com) — Logan High School’s Lady Chieftains dominated their home track meet, piling up 143 points to win a seven-team Logan Open over Vinton County, Jackson, and others. Local athletes delivered strong performances across sprints, distance, relays, and field events, highlighted by multiple first-place finishes in the 400, distance races, shot put, and discus.

3. Judith M. Adams (loganhockingtimes.org) — Logan is mourning the passing of 71-year-old Judith Marie Adams, a longtime clergy member who served churches across several states and most recently lived at The Carlin House in Logan. Her family, including children and grandchildren in Logan and Nelsonville, invite friends to calling hours Sunday in Nelsonville and funeral services Monday, with memorial donations suggested to churches in Nelsonville and Logan.

4. Springfield's Tackett running for Congress as independent (limaohio.com) — Logan County voters will be part of a reshaped 4th Congressional District where Springfield’s assistant mayor, Tracey Tackett, is mounting an independent challenge to Rep. Jim Jordan. Tackett is gathering signatures now and says she’ll focus on working families, small businesses, public safety, health care access, and rural economic growth if she makes the November ballot.
