The purchase comes as Lordstown battles a proposed $3.6 billion data center in court and residents worry about how large energy-hungry projects could affect local water and electric rates.
   

• Monarch Tractor's collapse ends with an acquisition by Caterpillar (rocketnews.com) — Lordstown’s former GM/Foxconn plant again plays a supporting role as Monarch Tractor, which once built autonomous electric tractors there, has its technology acquired by Caterpillar after years of financial struggles. The deal follows Foxconn’s sale of the Lordstown factory to SoftBank and the collapse of several EV manufacturing plans tied to the site.
