Officers also handled several Ridge and Brookpark Road incidents involving stolen cars, high-speed fleeing, and suspected felony drugs, with at least one arrest and more charges pending.
   

• Proposed Ohio law aims to protect officials on military deployment, as Parma dispute intensifies (cleveland.com) — Parma residents are closely watching a dispute over whether deployed school board member and Air Force reservist Ashley McTaggart can keep serving remotely while overseas. A new Ohio Senate bill would protect deployed officials from being penalized for absences, but the Parma City School Board has yet to formally debate her status, drawing vocal support, criticism, and tense public meetings.
