One homeowner told village council he must run a pump across the road just to keep water at bay. Village staff acknowledge multiple complaints and are looking at the problem area between Tawa Road and Herbert Street for possible solutions.

• Two Richwood residents charged with crimes against children (rgnews.biz) — Richwood residents are being alerted that a local man has been indicted on numerous serious felony counts involving obscene material with minors, following action by a Union County Grand Jury. While details are limited to protect those involved, the case centers on alleged creation and possession of illegal material last year. The situation is still moving through the courts, and no conviction has been reported.

• NU Gabby Lindsey makes podium in three events at states for track and field (rgnews.biz) — North Union junior sprinter and jumper Gabby Lindsey delivered a standout performance at the state track and field championships, reaching the podium in three events. She improved her 400-meter time to take third in the finals and added a fifth-place finish in the 200, along with an earlier runner-up long jump. Her success gives Richwood-area fans plenty to celebrate from this year’s state meet.
