The Vantage resolution could be near for tenants (clevelandjewishnews.com) — Shaker Heights Municipal Court is set to hold a final pretrial Sept. 14 in the city of Beachwood's case against the owners of The Vantage apartments over alleged trash and sanitation violations. If no settlement is reached, a trial is scheduled for Oct. 19, with potential fines up to $840,000, while some tenants are already escrowing rent through the Shaker Heights court.

One week after getting blown out, Mentor back on track with 63-18 win over Brunswick (cleveland.com) — Mentor's football team rolled past Brunswick, but the key local note is that Brunswick will host Shaker Heights next Friday in Greater Cleveland Conference play. After a strong offensive showing by Mentor, Shaker Heights fans can look ahead to a meaningful road matchup that could shape early conference momentum and showcase how the Raiders stack up.
