While immediate life-safety issues were fixed quickly, officials warn costly upgrades are still needed within weeks, raising concerns about the future of mall-based jobs and whether businesses might need to relocate within the area.

Leaky fire hydrant on Cherry Lane highlights Steubenville's aging infrastructure (wtov9.com) — A leaky fire hydrant on Cherry Lane is drawing attention to Steubenville’s aging water and fire protection infrastructure, but city officials say help is coming.
